Kelly Baltzell, President, CEO
Kelly Baltzell, MA is President and CEO of the Beyond Indigo family of companies, which she founded in 1997. Her roster of highly engaging veterinary, equine, and funeral industry websites reaches millions of people a year, and her technological prowess and passion have made her an unparalleled leader in Internet marketing.
A true relationship builder who works tirelessly to promote her clients and broadcast their stories to the world, Kelly speaks frequently about marketing trends and website design at national conventions. Prior to creating Beyond Indigo, she served as Site Manager for Online Psych, the mental health community of America Online, and designed customized mental health programming for the AOL Health Channel. Online Psych had up to four million page views per day and attained placement on AOL’s Welcome Screen. After Online Psych merged with iVillage.com, Kelly became Director of Interactive Health and was later promoted to Executive Director of Health. She helped generate more than 18 million page views a month for iVillage.com.
Under Kelly’s leadership, BeyondIndigo.com has become one of the country’s most popular grief support websites with more than a million annual visitors. It has been listed in Forbes Best of the Web for the past eight consecutive years. Kelly writes Healing Help brochures for Messenger, has had articles published in The Director, Caregiving Today, and Thanos, and wrote a column called Ask Kelly for YBNews from 2000 to 2008. She graduated with an International Affairs & Economics degree from George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychology from St. Mary’s.
Scott Wallace, Director of Internet Marketing Services
Scott serves as Director of Internet Marketing Services for the entire family of Beyond Indigo companies. He assists his wife, Beyond Indigo president and CEO Kelly Baltzell, MA, with sales and marketing strategy development.
Prior to joining Beyond Indigo, Scott worked in the financial services industry for 13 years. His vast experience in risk management and financial planning enables him to effectively integrate clients’ ideas into sound business development plans. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Bemidji State University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Jones International University. He lives in Hanover, Minnesota with Kelly and their two children. In addition to having his pilot’s license, he adores ice hockey and secretly lives for ‘80s music. And although he’s not a current pet owner, he happily allows his neighbor’s cat, Storm, to live under his porch.
Lisa Allen
With more than 20 years of experience as an account manager and editor, Lisa specializes in Google Analytics and has worked extensively in the interactive and publishing industries. She helps Beyond Indigo clients interpret statistics that determine how people find their website, how long they stay, and what they seek. Her valuable recommendations help websites exceed expectations. She believes that fostering strong client connections is the key to building long, mutually beneficially partnerships. A resident of Columbus, Ohio, she lives with her four children, three cats, and Wheaton-Yorkshire Terrier.
